i can’t say for certain when i began to want to make art from garbage. my brother richard influenced me with his work, certainly. wherever the initial motivation, i now am always picking up things on my walks, incorporating them into either already existing, or planned art pieces: bottle caps, shards of glass, wire, broken lighters…
